Melchior Islands

The Melchior Islands are affectionately known as the “Venice of Antarctica” because of the many narrow canals and small islands that make up the area. The waters here are quite and shallow, but visitors will see a number of unique birds on the rocky cliffs, and majestic humpback whales patrolling the coast.
